ABOUT US

Alan grew up right next door, as the middle child of 12. During his youth, he discovered a knack for difficult repairs and fabrication. That proved useful on the family farm where he would often be found working on some piece of equipment, sometimes even for the neighbors. After graduating from high school, he went into commercial construction for a number of years where he quickly became a jack-of-all-trades. He then transitioned into residential construction with his oldest brother. One day a neighbor, named Leonard Bitner, stopped by and wanted to teach Alan how to run his Sawmill. 1 year later, Leonard and Alan began moving his Sawmill to our current location, and fabricating some new updates. For nearly a decade, the Sawmill was driven off the PTO of a tractor. But when 3- phase electricity was brought in, that's when things really started to change. More jobs kept coming in and soon he needed to expand his operation. Alan bought old commercial molders and planers, which we still run, and continued expanding. As word continued to spread, he needed to begin buying lumber from many other sawmills to keep up with demand.  These days, Alan can still be found running the Sawmill, in between loading bunks of lumber. He still enjoys bringing new life to old equipment. His very limited spare time is spent rebuilding and restoring antique tractors and cars, many of which he still uses around the farm.  The sawmill is now run by Alan and his youngest son Andrew.

Andrew enjoys a number of hobbies, mostly vehicle related, such as renovating old cars, helping friends with their mechanical issues, and working on his truck and Jeep.  He enjoys spending time with his wife's family camping, trail riding (Jeepin'), or shooting skeet.
